of America’s dominant social norm, and may very well be the grand philosophy of all mankind.     i.e.: ..the impulse of desire unchecked 

 So how do you know you lead a sanctified life..  in lieu of this lethal irony ??  ..while considering that one’s chosen directive in life might   -unwittingly-  be the substance of one's own inherent demise ?
